Wood Protection

Environmentally friendly treatment for framing lumber and sheathing protects the home and adds value by guarding against mold, mildew, and termites while managing moisture content. BluWood is a borate based product offered by Delkote that prevents mold, mildew, and wood ingesting insects. It is also a wood stabilizer and is applied to the lumber and framing materials before they are sent to a job site. Building Environmental Solutions offers Forticel products to treat the wood after a home is weather tight or during renovations. Forticel is wood treatment product that prohibits mold, mildew, and algae growth. Choose the product that best suits your needs.

Prefinished Siding

The machine finishing process provides 6-sided coating of paint or stain in a controlled indoor environment increasing durability, reducing labor costs, and providing an exceptional warranty. By installing factory finished lumber by Delkote, you will be taking the best steps possible to ensure the highest quality and unbeatable performance for your exterior sidings, deck and trim. Pre-priming/pre-finishing all lumber surfaces prior to installation reduces waste, decreases time spent on jobsite, and often is a more cost effective solution than site application.

Ventilation

Improve indoor air quality and occupant comfort with efficient fresh air exchange and spot ventilation products and system designs. With the high cost of energy, new homes are built with more detail towards the prevention of air leakage. This can have adverse effects on the indoor air quality of the house. Mechanical ventilation is vital to the indoor quality of an energy efficient home. Green R offers mechanical ventilation products from Venmar, Panasonic and AirCycler.

Panelization

Our premium framing process creates 78% less waste than conventional stick building and provides a superior, durable shell that reduces time in the framing schedule. All components built in our Asheville facility are made with 100% renewable energy and utilize sustainable harvested lumber when locally available. Services include walls, floor truss and roof truss systems. Deltec Homes can engineer, panelize and construct any home design right in our Asheville facility. Panelized construction is suitable for new construction, renovations and additions, and saves considerable time in the construction schedule.

Sealed Crawlspace

Eliminate moisture concerns, increase home durability and energy efficiency, and improve indoor air quality with a sealed crawlspace. With mold spores being in the air everywhere, all they need to grow is an organic material, such as wood, the right temperature range, and moisture. A sealed crawlspace installed by Building Environmental Solutions will maintain humidity levels necessary to prevent mold growth, and will increase the durability of the foundation and framing.

Rainwater

Rain water is a precious resource that we can use to reduce the amount of potable water we use to flush our toilets and irrigate our land. By rain harvesting we can reduce pollution from storm water run-off, erosion, and lower the amount of treatment currently needed at local utility facilities. Intermingling of gray water and rain water systems together can reduce your water bill up to 90%! Rain water can be used to flush toilets and urinals, for irrigation, fire sprinkler systems, and as secondary water supply to a grey water system.
